Rules & privacy notice

Organiser

The draw is organised by Valeria Brutti for Fluency EI, who is also responsible for the personal data collected in this challenge. Postal contact address: to be confirmed.

Eligibility

Open to participants of the World Language Conference (WLC) Vienna 2026 who work in education and are aged 18 or over. One entry per email address. No purchase, payment or marketing consent is required.

Timing

Entries must be received before Friday, 30 October 2026, 15:00 Vienna time (CET). Later entries are not accepted.

Prize

One free Fluency EI Classroom Experience: a complimentary classroom pilot for one class of up to 15 students, individual speaking assessments, a teacher-facing overview of student performance, a personal onboarding session with the Fluency EI founders, and an opportunity to explore wider use within the school. Available from 16 November 2026, on a date agreed with the winner. The prize has no cash alternative and is subject to the school's approval and appropriate data-protection arrangements for its students.

Winner selection

After the closing time, one winner and one reserve are selected at random by the platform from all valid entries, using a cryptographic random number generator. The selection runs once and its time, entry count and result are logged. The winner is contacted by email; if they do not respond within 14 days or cannot accept, the reserve is offered the prize. The winner's identity is never published without their permission.

Your assessment

The speaking result is a short AI snapshot, indicative only. It is not an accredited qualification or formal CEFR certification, and it does not affect your chance of winning.

Privacy

We store your recording, transcript and assessment to provide your result; recordings are deleted automatically after 20 days. If you enter the draw we store your name, email, school, role, your answer about exploring Fluency EI, and whether you opted in to news. We use this to run the draw and contact the winner (to perform the competition you entered). If you answered "Yes" or "Perhaps" to exploring Fluency EI, we may contact you once about that request, because you asked us to; you can object at any time and we will stop. Marketing news is only sent if you ticked the optional box, and you can withdraw that consent at any time. Neither box is ticked in advance, and marketing consent is not needed to take part. Entries of non-winners are deleted 90 days after the draw, except contact details of people who asked us to follow up about their school, which are kept only while that conversation continues. Data is stored securely with access limited to the organiser's administrators. You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data at any time — see our privacy policy.
